RECEPTIONIST (Per-Diem/Non-Exempt)

TITLE: RECEPTIONIST

DEPARTMENT: BUSINESS OFFICE

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR, BUSINESS OFFICE

STATUS: PER-DIEM/NON EXEMPT

SUPERVISES: N/A
 EVENING, WEEKEND and HOLIDAY

Position Summary:To facilitate the flow of organization information; to provide a positive, responsive environment for receiving internal and external customers via telephone and face-to-face.

 Essential Duties:

•         Answers and responds to incoming telephone calls.

•         Provides routine organization-related information to callers and visitors.

•         Signs for, receives, and routes incoming mail, including courier deliveries.

•         Provides back-up clerical support to various departments.

•         Greets and responds to applicants for employment.

•         Maintains documentation related to Needs Assessment and Referral calls.

QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY:

High school level reading and writing skill; basic arithmetic skills; skills in business English usage; excellent telephone etiquette and tact; pleasant and audible speech, with good enunciation; ability to operate AT&T System 25 or 75 console, or similar; flexibility; ability to interact effectively with persons of widely diverse roles, backgrounds, cultures, and socio-economic classes, those in crises or resistant or negative toward organization; ability to remain seated at switchboard for long periods of time without significant discomfort or distress.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SPECIALIST

SHIFTS: Full Time, Part Time & Per Diem (ALL SHIFTS)

Position Summary: To provide direct patient care to geriatric, adult, adolescent, or child patients with psychiatric disorders; to ensure the safety and well-being of these patients; to support the maintenance of therapeutic milieu.

Essential Duties:

  • Participate in input and follow through with regard to treatment planning
  • Observe and identify patients problems, needs and strengths, and suggest treatment plan modifications
  • Provide input on, and implement patient discharge plans
  • Accompany and transport patients as assigned
  • Facilitate patient community meetings
  • Maintain patient, and unit related documentation
  • Admit new patients to the unit, program and milieu
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment for patients
  • Assists patients with daily living activities consistent with treatment plans
  • Carry out administrative and clerical assignments to support patient care, and organizational operations

Qualifications: A minimum of 1 yr health care experience, current CPR and PRO-ACT required. Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology, basic principles of psychology and human behavior preferred.

ACTIVITY THERAPIST (Adjunctive Therapist) Full Time and Per-Diem/Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

To serve as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, to provide therapeutic recreational and activity services to adult, adolescent, or child patients with emotional or substance abuse problems.  

 Essential Duties:

  • Develops and implements activity therapy plans
  • Maintains the clinical and administrative documentation for services rendered
  • Participates in the effective allocation of department resources
  • Requests supplies and equipment required for assigned activities
  • Provides individual instruction for clients as required
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of one or more therapeutic activity area such as recreation/occupational/music/art therapy; individual and group behavior and effective ways of working with clients; Intermediate knowledge of the general nature of physical or mental illnesses/disabilities and/or developmental disabilities;
  • Ability to apply and adapt skills and knowledge of activity areas to planned sessions of therapeutic activities; Ability to foster interest, initiative, responsibility, and experimentation in clients and discourage inappropriate responses;
  • Ability to observe client behavior, record observations, and prepare reports; CTRS, ATR, MT-BC, drama therapy, or related disciplines preferred.

CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY COUNSELOR Full Time/Non-Exempt)

Position Summary: To provide quality direct and indirect patient care to individuals with chemical dependency or other diagnosed issues.

Essential Duties:

 

 ·         Assesses patients' stage and extent of chemical use and comorbid mental health issues.

·         Develops and implements a plan of treatment, in conjunction with members of multi-disciplinary team.

·         Conducts didactic and other appropriate patient groups for both chemical dependency and duel diagnosed issues.

·         Communicates with referral sources and other appropriate parties regarding patients' progress.

·         Coordinates and implements patients' discharge.

·         Attends and participates in department and other program or clinical and administrative meetings.

·         Supports maintenance and development of clinical program or services.

·         Provides backup services to Needs Assessment and Referral Dept.

·         Participates in activities, which enhance professional growth and development.

Qualifications: Masters degree in related field preferably mental health. CADAC certification required. Two years of experience working with adults and adolescents with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. MFT, SW, RN license preferred. Two years significant experience in a similar work environment.

NURSING SUPERVISOR (Full Time AM & NOC shift)

   RN Nursing Supervisor, you will oversee hospital function on your assigned shift include:

  • Supervising all nursing staff on your assigned shift
  • Ensuring that staffing levels are maintained for your shift and the oncoming shift
  • Ensuring that patients are properly taken care of and all hospital policies and procedures are implemented and followed by staff.
  • Providing care to patients according to the established plan of care as needed
  • Assisting with orientation of new staff
  • Providing feedback and/or counseling to nursing staff when appropriate.

HOUSEKEEPER

HOUSEKEEPER (Full Time/Non-Exempt)

Position Summary: To ensure the maintenance of a clean, healthy, pleasant environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Essential Duties: 

  • Cleans floors in patient and non-patient areas. 
  • Removes trash and waste from designated areas of facility. 
  • Removes and replaces soiled linens from designated patient areas. 
  • Maintains facility and furnishings in clean, orderly fashion. 
  • Adheres to organization's safety and security policies and procedures. 
  • Maintains documentation and records related to department operations.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB: Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand for sustained period of time, walk, pull, lift objects from a lower to higher position or horizontally from position to position, finger grasp; feel sizes, shapes, temperatures and textures; express or exchange ideas orally and potentially loudly, accurately or quickly; perceive the nature of sound with no less than a 40 db loss @ 1000 Hz and 2000 Hz with or without correction; perform repetitive motions of the wrist, hands or fingers.

Light work most of the time, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently; and occasionally medium work, that is exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently.
