2017 Aurora San Diego
MONTHLY BREAKFAST SEMINAR SERIES
Conservatorships and Alternatives
April 26, 2017
Understanding Types of Conservatorships: LPS Conservatorships, Limited Conservatorships and General Conservatorships: what are the differences? Which is the appropriate answer to a given situation? Is a conservatorship even the best answer? Often not. There are several alternatives to a conservatorship, usually easier to establish and often a more appropriate way to address the problem at hand. The trick is understanding them, knowing when they are the best choice, and when only a conservatorship will adequately address the problem.
1. Attendees will learn about the three different types of Conservatorships in California, the purpose of each;
2. The Course will examine how each of these conservatorships are established and maintained;
3. Several potential alternatives to Conservatorships will be considered, and attendees will learn how to analyze and determine if any, or a combination of these alternatives, are appropriate to the situation.
